Simon joined the Resource Management team in February 2018 after graduating from Otago University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography.
Simon works with a range of clients, from farmers and private developers to large scale industry clients and infrastructure providers. He says "The best part of what I do is getting to know my clients interests and overcoming the challenges that come with achieving their development aspirations."
His experience includes providing advice on development projects requiring resource consent or rezoning via plan change, irrigation water permits, enforcement and compliance issues, large scale industrial projects, electricity distribution and residential or commercial developments.
Simon also represents clients in various District and Regional Plan Change proceedings, often requiring representation in Council hearings, Environment and High Court.
Outside of work Simon enjoys cooking, staying fit and exploring Dunedin and the region.
