Emma Burke


Emma is a specialist in procurement and front-end construction law, and has a real passion for this area of law. She has acted on many construction and infrastructure projects over the past 15 years, across various industries and for both private and public sector clients. Emma really enjoys working collaboratively with clients and their consultants, and being part of the wider project team. She feels a real sense of satisfaction seeing her clients’ projects come to fruition. Emma builds excellent relationships with her clients, and her client base includes both local and national clients. Emma loves the fact that she can run a national practice while enjoying all the benefits of living in Dunedin.

Emma also has experience acting on a diverse range of commercial and corporate matters. Emma takes a very commercial approach to her work, and enjoys working alongside clients to come up with practical solutions and help them achieve their business goals.

Emma has worked for top tier firms in Auckland and London, before returning to her home town of Dunedin in 2009. Emma joined the firm having spent 7 years at Anderson Lloyd.

Emma is a member of the Society of Construction Law.

Outside of work, Emma loves spending time with her young family and enjoying the many beaches and bush walks in and around Dunedin.
