November 2014 . . . David Robinson delivered a well received paper at the Conference held by the Otago and Southland branches of the New Zealand Law Society. His topic, Key Issues under the Health and Safety Reform Bill provided a detailed analysis of key provisions, including the concepts of PCBU, Officers and the duty of due diligence, and the new test of “Reasonably Practicable”. The paper also examined the abolition of the privilege against self incrimination for corporates, new offence regime and the likely Court approach to the new penalty regime.
