Russ wears a number of hats for us at Gallaway Cook Allan, leading our Marketing and Client Services Team plus providing executive assistant support to our CE, Jase Tibble.
Russ is a recent arrival in Dunedin. He acquired a taste for New Zealand via a university scholarship that saw him spend a year at Massey before returning to London to graduate. He knew that returning to New Zealand was high on his agenda, it just took him twenty years in Auckland to realise that Otago is the heart of the country. Russ has a history of working for large global organisations and New Zealand Public Service. Most recently Russ comes to us from Otago Polytechnic.
Russ is passionate about simplifying processes, he enjoys discovering the reasons why we’ve always done it that way and then improving on that. He cares about people and wants everyone to be the very best that they can be and works tirelessly to pick the brain of the person he supports to work out their needs and enable them to grow further in their role.
Working with former Retirement Commissioner, Diane Maxwell, taught him the power in storytelling which he brings to all aspects of his role with us, bringing our brand to life.
Outside of work you’ll probably find him walking the tracks of the Otago Peninsula. He’s still exploring the local area as well as taking trips up and down the coast and into Central Otago. However, on a rainy day he’ll be in his happy place, the kitchen.
