Diccon joined the Gallaway Cook Allan litigation team in 1984.  He has extensive experience in public and judicial reviews, employment law, arbitration and opinion work.

He is also involved in major commercial law matters – particularly employment and resource management issues involving transfers of businesses and structuring of joint ventures.

Diccon takes a systematic approach to solve legal problems simply and efficiently; "I enjoy challenging legal issues, researching, strategising and working out what steps are best and most practical for our clients," he says.

"I aim for sensible, prompt resolutions. And although it's sometimes hard for clients under stress, I believe in giving them realistic expectations as to what we can do for them. It’s often better to find solutions that avoid the costs and uncertainties of court practice. I try to maintain an intelligent approach to getting a practical result."

Outside of work, Diccon's very active in the Dunedin choral music scene and indulges in a passion for performance cars and motorcycles.
